Live the most important days of the year in Zaragoza
For Christmas, Zaragoza dresses up to receive its visitors. These days the city shows its best face with Christmas markets, new lighting and many activities for all ages.
The lighting of this year was done last December 5th and the different proposals are extended until next January 12th. Thanks to the new lighting and the great offer this year, Zaragoza has become one of the most “instagrammable” cities these days.
The Christmas exhibition has 40 booths with a very varied offer, from crafts to gastronomy, which will delight young and old alike. It is worth mentioning the spectacular 750 m2 tent where the ice rink is located, in the vicinity of the fountain of Hispanidad, and on the opposite side, next to the fountain of Goya, the descent of sleds with 23 metres of descent.
For the youngest members of the family, an ecological waterwheel and stuffed ponies have been installed in the Plaza del Pilar, and a new area located in the Government Delegation “DREAMLAND” square, where the Casita de Papá Noel is located and where the children can visit him and have their photos taken until December 24th.
In addition to the obligatory visit to see the Casita de Papá Noel, a two-storey Venetian carousel, considered the best in Spain, has been placed in the square. Continuing with the records that we can visit these days in Zaragoza, in the Plaza del Pilar is located the largest Bethlehem in Spain, we recommend you to make the tour feeling like one more figure.
The Christmas atmosphere has not been long in coming and the streets of the old town are full of families and onlookers to enjoy these days in Zaragoza. To all these activities programmed by the city council, we must add the programme of The Puppeteers of Binéfar, Teatro Arbolé or Gozarte among others, which complement these days with new activities, as well as the Christmas market located in Paseo Independencia, Plaza Aragón and Plaza San Francisco.
You can enjoy all this just a few minutes away from the Villa Gomá hotel, don’t hesitate, and visit Zaragoza at Christmas, you’ll be surprised!
